A Legacy Rewarded: Western Bloodstock Sale Graduates Earn $100,000 Through Incentive at the 2025 NCHA Futurity

At the 2025 NCHA Futurity, the Ben Emison – Milt Bradford Western Bloodstock $100,000 Sale Incentive paid out $100,000 to the top three Western Bloodstock sale graduates advancing to the Open Finals of the NCHA Futurity. The payout honored the program’s namesakes and underlined what the Western Bloodstock marketplace is built to do: connect buyers with prospects that can come back to Fort Worth and perform.

“These results are exactly what the Sale Incentive is meant to highlight,” said Jeremy Barwick, owner of Western Bloodstock. “Seeing multiple sale graduates advance to the Open Finals and perform at this level speaks to the strength of the program and the quality of horses coming through Western Bloodstock.”

The 2025 NCHA Futurity Open Finals produced a split at the top of the Sale Incentive, with two Western Bloodstock graduates sharing the 2025 NCHA Futurity Open Co-Reserve Champion honors.

Sistersonthewagon (Metallic Cat x Reys Desire) marked a 220.5 in the Open Finals under Lee Francois for owners Barwick/Francois, earning $40,000 from the Sale Incentive. The mare was sold as a yearling through the 2023 Western Bloodstock Futurity Sale before returning to Fort Worth as a Futurity finalist.

Matching that score was Wood She B Arising (Badboonarising x Wood She B A Nockout), ridden by Adan Banuelos for owner Ten/27 Ranch. Her 220.5 score secured the second $40,000 payout at the top of the incentive. Wood She B Arising was sold just last year as a two-year-old through the Western Bloodstock Futurity Sales.

The third incentive payout went to California Reyzzin (Reyzin The Cash x Cherry Chapstik), who marked a 217.5 in the Open Finals under Dirk Blakesley for owners James and Elaine Rohleder. They split seventh overall in the Futurity and earned $20,000 as the third-highest advancing Western Bloodstock sale graduate. California Reyzzin was sold as a yearling through the 2023 Western Bloodstock Futurity Sales.

The Ben Emison – Milt Bradford Western Bloodstock $100,000 Sale Incentive is open to all weanlings, yearlings, two-year-olds and three-year-olds sold and transferred to a new buyer at any Western Bloodstock sale throughout the year, automatically nominating those horses to the program.

Named in honor of Western Bloodstock founders Ben Emison and Milt Bradford, the Sale Incentive continues to tie the sale ring to the sport’s highest level of competition, rewarding results in the show pen while carrying forward the legacy on which the company was built.
