Desires Time enters the Absolute Dispersal of Teton Ridge Performance Horses with a record that proves her quality and a pedigree that ensures her future.
The 2013 red roan mare by One Time Pepto and out of Reys Desire earned $96,904 while holding her own in major company. She was the Southern Open Derby Reserve Champion, a finalist at the NCHA Open Super Stakes and Open Derby, and a US CHA National Finals Open Classic Champion, with additional wins on the US CHA circuit. Trainer Lee Francois told Quarter Horse News, “I can’t say enough good things about her.”
Her dam, Reys Desire ($409,603), left her mark as both a show mare and a producer, with offspring earning more than $1 million, including Preachersdriknagain ($256,965). Holly Francois once said, “Those mares have so much heart and so much try. It is just hard to beat that.” That kind of grit runs deep in this family. On the sire side, One Time Pepto ($331,097) is a proven influence with progeny earnings topping $23 million, while his cross on daughters of Dual Rey has already produced more than $1.3 million.
Desires Time is already proving herself in the breeding barn. Her first foal, Metallitime (by Metallic Cat), advanced to the Limited Amateur Futurity finals, setting the tone for a page filled with foals by sires such as Dual Smart Rey, Smooth Talkin Style, Third Edge, and Hashtags. Each represents the kind of mating that works in today’s market: modern, commercial, and repeatable.
She also sells with immediate upside. Buyers gain an embryo by Smooth Talkin Style due in 2026, along with a paid rebreed to High Brow Cat.
Desires Time is not just a proven competitor, but a mare built to anchor a program. With performance, pedigree, and production aligning, she offers both substance and opportunity. She sells September 29 in the Absolute Dispersal of Teton Ridge Performance Horses, offered by Western Bloodstock.
