Fort Worth, TX – The Western Bloodstock sales ring proved once again to be a launching pad for success as Rollz Eh, a sorrel mare by Rollz Royce and out of This Cats Smilen (by WR This Cats Smart), captured the Open Reserve Champion title at the 2024 NCHA Futurity. Ridden by Austin Shepard and owned by Billy Wolf, Rollz Eh marked an impressive 224 in the finals, earning $275,744.
Her performance also secured the 2024 Ben Emison & Milt Bradford $100,000 Western Bloodstock Sale Incentive check, with Wolf taking home the $50,000 first-place payout.
Consigned in 2023 by Todd Nelson and trained by Richard Jordan, Rollz Eh sold in Session 2 of the Western Bloodstock NCHA Futurity 2-Year-Old Sale. Just a year later, she stood under the bright lights of Will Rogers, validating the foresight of her buyers and underscoring the caliber of horses that pass through the sale.
“She proved she has the grit and presence it takes to compete against the very best,” said owner Billy Wolf. “Fort Worth was a test for every horse in that pen, and the way she stepped up under the lights was a proud moment for all of us.”
For Western Bloodstock owner Jeremy Barwick, Rollz Eh’s success reflects not just one mare’s achievement, but the consistent quality of horses showcased at the sales.
“Year after year, we see horses like Rollz Eh come through our sales and go on to excel on cutting’s biggest stage,” Barwick said. “It’s a credit to the consignors, trainers, and buyers who trust this marketplace. We’re proud to play a role in connecting great horses with the right programs, and we look forward to watching many more champions emerge from the sale ring.”
With her performance at the Futurity, Rollz Eh not only added her name to the record books but also reaffirmed Western Bloodstock’s reputation as the leader in performance horse sales. And while her Reserve Champion title in Fort Worth is already a milestone achievement, there’s little doubt this mare has only just begun to make her mark.
